What Causes Severe Rectal Pain During Bowel Movement?

I have intense pain when go for bowel movement. However, For the past 4 or 5 months I was having pain and was getting bleeding during bowel movement it was continuing for 3 to 4 days and stopped pain @ bleeding and it will be ok for another 1 or 1-1/2months then the same process continue. But this time upto now no any bleeding for around 10 days but the pain at bowel movement kills like anything Please advise what is this and the required treatment

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have severe rectal pain during bowel movement . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like anal fissure , constipation , hemorrhoids , colon polyps , diarrhea or colitis . I would suggest you to consult gastroenterologist for proper diagnosis . Doctor will examine physically , order stool test , endoscopy or ultrasound . Doctor may order omeprazole , laxative , ornidazole or recommned surgery to remove hemorrhoids . For now eat light , eat more fibrous food like fruits and vegetable , drink plenty of water and sit in hot water tub for 15 minutes .
