What Causes Severe Right Flank Pain?

Thursday night I started having severe right flank pain. Did not sleep at all until the pain subsided about 10am Friday morning. I slept pretty much all day Friday and most of Saturday. Sunday was able to get around but still had a twinge of pain here and there. Monday I have had twinges of pain with about an hour of constant low grade pain compared to Thursday night. Urine was clear Thursday and Friday, Darker Saturday, and real dark sunday. Lighter today. I have no pain when I push on any part of my abdomen. I want to say it is either a kidney stone issue, kidney infection...I have no pain urinating, flow is strong, and I am urinating a lot since I am pounding water. Any help would be appreciated.

Welcome to healthcaremagic.com. Sorry to heat of your flank pain. You seem to have passed a kidney stone, the type of pain and the urine color changes support this. The dark urine would have been blood. You did the right thing which was to drink a lot of fluids. Bring this up at your next doctors visit and figure out if this is hereditary of a dietary thing.
