What Causes Severe Right-sided Pain In Abdomen After Taking Shingles Medication?

On 02/18/15 I went to check my forehead that required a freezing treatment. The dermatologist did the treatment and also diagnosed that I nave shingles and prescribed a medication of 1 tablet per day during 14 days (the normal prescription of this medication is 3 tablets per day) because I have kronic kidney disease, The following days I got a painful eruption on the right side of my body. As the pain continued I was prescribed prednisone 10 MG to be taken for 7 days. To treat the pain I was prescribed Advil and OXYCODON-ACETAMINOPHEN 7.5-325, 2 TABLET PER DAY during 20 days. The redness of the eruption has diminished and also the pain, but the pain is still affecting my daily life. I am afraid that the low dose of the medication did not provide the full cure of the shingles and I may need additional treatment. Eugenio Pollner, Tel. 212-685-0956
