What Causes Severe Right-sided Pain In The Body?

I had pains in the lower right back for a couple of days which got gradually worse,it then felt like it dispersed pain outward of my right side of body and landed in the right index finger,right knee and right foot with some swelling ,the pain was immense and lasted for a couple of weeks
