What Causes Severe Shaking In Hands And Arms In A Diabetic?

I m 80 years old and a type 2 diabetic. Last night I woke with severe shaking, mostly in my hands and arms. I took some juice thinking it was low blood sugar, and it eventually disappeared. At the same time I was having pain in both hip areas and my back . Today I started having diarrhea and it persisted until about 2 hours ago. I ve never had such severe shaking in my life before.

OB and GYN Specialist 's  Response
Hello,

I believe it was because of hypoglycemia only but still, I suggest you go for serum calcium levels and electrolytes to rule out hypocalcemia and other medical conditions.

If you are still experiencing diarrhea then I suggest you take Oflox OZ twice in a day of at least 3 days and plenty of fluids.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Naira Jahangir, OB and GYN Specialist
