What Causes Severe Shortness Of Breath And Tinnitus?

I think I m the only with a condition nobody is realizing. I had walked in -40c windchill and froze my upper airway. I quit smoking cigarettes! I have not created mucus since 2015 only three times I can count very small amount did come out . I wrote to the lung association and said I frostbitten my lungs. The response said it cannot happen. . So now I gasp for air often to get oxygen in my lungs and several times later i d get the satisfaction of air. Now I am having ringing in my ears my temple is sore my brains are out of air and simply cannot sleep more than 4 hours at night and naps in the afternoon is not successful as as soon as the light goes off I wake up gasping thinking I stop breathing to.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

As per my clinical experience, this condition indicates severely compromised respiratory function with constriction of air ways.

I would suggest to consult in follow up with all available reports of CT scan, pulmonary function test and others done till now.

Thanks.
