What Causes Severe Shoulder Pain In A Patient With Diabetes?
Hi, I am a 67 year old male and a diabetic type 2 case. My levels are under control but I suffer from a nagging pain in my left shoulder for almost a year now. When I reach backwards to pick up something small I get this agonizing pain and sometimes can`t sleep on my left side. My weight is 77Kg and apart from that I am quite healthy and although I smoke am a moderate drinker. Please advise what medication to take and what the cause could be. Thank you Fred
Thank you for the concern. In diabetic patients there are more chances of "Frozen shoulder". In frozen shoulder there is agonising pain and restricted joint movement. it has direct association with blood sugar level. For pain, you can take painkillers having serritopeptidase for better penetration of drug. And consult the physiotherapist and learn the exercise for shoulder joint.
