What Causes Severe Shoulder Pain When Diagnosed With Calcific Tendinitis?

I have severe shoulder and right arm pain and i m seeing a arm and shoulder doctor. MRI showed some calcification in my shoulder. Looking on my arms I noticed that my right arm is getting thinner that the left arm. Is the shoulder pain responsible for that?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Your symptoms seem to be related to tendinitis.

I recommend using anti-inflammatory medication such as Acetaminophen to relieve the pain.

I recommend using ice compresses for relief and rest.

If the symptoms continue steroid shots may be needed to relieve the pain.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi,
