What Causes Severe Spasms In The Bladder After An Appendectomy?
Hi, I m 37 weeks pregnant and had a traditional appendectomy 6 days ago. I developed an ileus and I am slowly recovering. The ilues has been subsidizing and I was discharged yesterday. I m still in pain but my concern is that now it hurts really bad when a pee like a bladder spasms. No burning sensation, urine tests at the hospital were normal... what could this pain be from? The pain from the incision is tolerable but these sharp pains I m having when I pee or stand are killing me!

Hello,
It may be a simple post-operative pain.
Do a urine routine and make sure that there is no urinary tract infection.
You can take analgesics like Acetaminophen for pain relief.
