What Causes Severe Stomach Ache In A Child?
My son is 3 years old and complaining that his stomach hurts but pointing to his sides above his hip. I don t know that he has had a bowel movement today and wasn t sure if this would cause it or if I should be more concerned. No fever, no other symptoms.

It could be intestinal colic or worm infestation. As first-line management, you can try antispasmodic like hyoscine drops for symptomatic relief.
If symptoms persist better to consult a pediatrician and get evaluated.
