Hi. Thanks for your query. Noted the history and understood your concerns. Pantocid Hp Combipack contains Amoxicillin, Clarithromycin, and Pantoprazole as active ingredients. It Amoxicillin and Clarithromycin can cause gastrointestinal upset in the form of gases, loose stools, vague pains, backache. Since you have developed the problems with Pantocid HP, please stop these altogether and consult your Doctor for further investigations and management. You can certainly continue Pantocid plain 40 mg once a day or Ranitidine 150 twice a day. Also insist for an upper GI Endoscopy and tests of stool, blood and urine and if there is any intestinal infection as seen in the stool tests please get another course of antibiotic like Cefixime as this is stomach friendly. Also important is soft bland diet and control of stress and anxiety as these are important factors. You may also take antispasmodic for pain and antacid every three hourly.
