If your daughter still has pain and
vomiting , she needs to be admitted and investigated.
Vomiting in most of the cases of
abdominal pain are due to ''reflex''- meaning as a secondary to pain.
""Reflux'' vomiting is due to regurgitation from the stomach.
In such a case I would advise:
Re-admit.
Nil orally
IV fluids and antibiotics, symptomatic treatment for vomiting.
Investigations of blood, urine and stool.
Ultrasonography of abdomen, if necessary CT scan
Upper GI
endoscopy only if vomiting is suspected due to stomach or duodenal causes.
Standing X-ray abdomen :
All these things start the treatment and lead to a definitive diagnosis. , helping definitive treatment.
