What Causes Severe Strain In The Eyes And Headaches?

I am having lots of eye strain and often wake up with headaches. Lights and driving bother me whenever I feel like this and sometimes I feel light headed. My dad suffered from terrible migraines. I currently have a great deal of stress in my life. I was in a car accident and have a herniated disc and 2 bulging discs in my cervical region between C-3 and C-6. Also lots of neck and back pain. Could the disc problems be causing the headaches? Thanks, Patty

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Your strain in eyes & headache, along with trouble in light & driving... suggests refractory error... You should consult an ophthalmologist. The problem of disc bulging would cause pain on neck & hands... not a headache.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Vasudha Jayant Athavale,
