What Causes Severe Swelling And Pain In Leg Below The Knee?

My right leg, from my knee down, often swells up and hurts. I walk at least 45 minutes five days a week for about months now. Im obese at 230lbs Im 5 foot 1 and female. I recently joined weight watchers and have lost just over 20 lbs. I thought my leg pain would get better but honestly it s much worse. If I walk too hard or far, if I dance, if I wear heels, my leg is messed up. Do I need to worry or should I just keep walking and losing weight and trust it will get better

Hi

Getting leg pain especially in obese patients is very common as the legs are the weight bearing part of the body

knee joint and ankle joint are the commonest places where the pain will be felt as the entire body weight is transferred to these places

you can do cold compression for the pain relief

OTC pain relieving medications like (paracetomol and brufen combination) can be taken

start losing weigh gradually and the pain will subside in the course of time
