What Causes Severe Swelling In Feet And Legs Inspite Of Using Diuretics?
I am searching for a cardiologist that accepts medicare for my husband. It was recommended that he have several tests to check heart health..has had extreme swelling of feet and legs for months and 3 prescriptions of water pills have had produced no results. I would prefer to find someone associated with Lutheran Hospital in Wheatridge Colorado.

It can be a dependent edema. However other causes like renal dysfunction and hypo albumenrmia can cause similar symptoms. Low dose diuretics can be helpful. Consult a physician and he will direct you accordingly.
