I apologize for taking up your time. I think he really just needs to be seen by his Endocrinologist or Cardiologist to start with. Thanks, k.

Pulmonologist 's  Response
Hi,

Lower limb pitting edema is commonly seen with heart, kidney and liver diseases. So better to take him to a doctor and get done
1. ECG, 2D echo and stress test to rule out heart diseases.
2. Serum creatinine and ultrasound examination of kidney, ureter and bladder to rule out kidney diseases.
3. Liver function test and ultrasound abdomen to rule out liver diseases.

Don't worry, with appropriate treatment, he will be alright.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Kaushal Bhavsar,
