Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Severe Tenderness In The Feet In The Morning?
I have severe tenderness in my feet in the morning when I first stand up and walk around and also after times I have been off my feet for a while and get up and walk around. I have had this for years and don t know what could cause this. Is this something I should be concerned about?
This looks like you have a condition called Plantar fasciitis. This is a Co diction in which there is Inflammation in the inner layer of foot soles. This causes severe burn burning pains.
Causes are many however this is not a very serious condition. If this is for one year I would recommend.
You should see your doctor (orthopaedic) he would assess you and may give you an injection of steroids into your foot if needed.
There is a very good response to the injection and mostly a single injection heals the problem.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Mahboob Ur Rahman , General & Family Physician
