Hi Dear ,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of severe throat pain, excess salivation and difficulty in swallowing which seems to be caused by sore throat. It could be due to granular pharyngitis. Need not to worry. You should do warm saline gargles and take throat lozenge son daily basis. Take multivitamins to boost your immunity. I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist once and get complete examination done. Doctor may order blood test or throat swab test to find out the exact cause so that the condition can be treated properly. Doctor may prescribe you antibiotics or antiviral drug depending upon your condition. For now do betadine gargles and warm saline gargles and take benadryl. Take plenty of fluids.

Hope your concern has been resolved.

Get Well Soon.

Best Wishes,
