What Causes Severe Tinnitus?

Hi. I ve had these very distracting noises in my right ear for about two weeks straight now. It started off as whimpering to whooshing sounds to birds chirping... my blood pressure has been a little high from time to time, but the sounds are still there even when I have normal bp. What is going on with me? Usually the noises would stop for a few minutes, but as of yesterday, it has been nonstop.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi.

I would recommend a visit to your ENT doctor who will go about a ear examination, it can be an infection, inflammation or even weakness in muscles. Why wait and feel worse which can result in sleeplessness, irritation, etc; visit your doctor at the earliest who should be able to provide you with relief soon.

Best wishes.
