What Causes Severe Tinnitus?

pounding in my right ear sounds like a heart beat, I went to my doctor he checked my blood pressure he said it was fine, he told me to go my ENT doctor I did the ENT doctor that my blood pressure was a little high that is why I hear the heart beat in my ear. I went back to my regular doctor he checked my pressure again he said that is was fine, can you please tell me what could be going with the sound in my ear it is driving me crazy. thank you.

tinnitus is the symtom may bedue to some local defect or manifestation of some systeminc illness too.
however manytimes the cause rermain idiopthis too.
other local or systemic causse includes-

Nerve or hair cell damage
Ear infections
A foreign object, or earwax touching the eardrum
Eustachian tube (middle ear) problems
Temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorders
Stiffening of the middle ear bones
Traumatic brain injury
Cardiovascular diseases
Certain medication e.g. polymyxin B,diruetic ( walterpill )etc CAN PRODUCE TINNITUS
