I recently had severe pain in my upper right abdomen just under the lower rib cage. Went to ER and they ruled out gallbladder issues, kidney stones, blood clots and aorta with Ct scan and chest x-ray. Pain subsided within four hours. My pain level was a ten. Any suggestions? I am a 40 year old male
Hi, sorry to know about the severe pain. CT Scan and Chest Xray has rulled out almost all the possible diagnosis. If there is no Gall bladder pathology, no stone, no piver infection, then what might have cause the pain would be gastritis or acidity. Taking some antacid, regular diet, plenty of oral fluids helps the condition. However at 40 yes of age it is better to rule out any cardiac problem too.
