Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I have read the content you have posted and I understand your concern.
What your partner is having problems with
pain during intercourse is called 'vaginismus'.
This can occur due to 3 reasons:
1. Psychological fear of sex causing tightness in the vaginal muscles and hence leading to vaginal muscle spasm and pain.
Such a condition can be overcome by undergoing
psychiatric counselling and treatment to ensure that such fear is taken away.
2. Lack of lubrication during sex leading to pain due to friction.
This can be overcome by use of lubricants and spending more time in foreplay to ensure good lubrication is attained before the act. You need to be gentle during the act first few times to gain her confidence.
3. Presence of yeast or bacterial infection of the vagina causing discomfort and pain during intercourse.
Kindly consult Gynecologist for clinical examination and treatment by means of a course of antifungal and antibacterial medications to overcome if such a thing is present.
Hope the information provided would be helpful.
All the best.
