What Causes Severe Vaginal Pain During Sexual Intercourse?

Hi, ever since my bf circumcised I have been experiencing unbearable pains in my vagina during sexual intercourse....yesterday I went to the clinic and the nurse gave me hyospasmol and sleeping tablets. Will that help? Thing I have also been suffering from depression was that also contributing to my low sex drive and the pain iv bin experiencing?

Hi,

Firstly, you need to exclude any sexually transmitted infection as your partner has lately undergoing circumcision procedure. There are additional signs for these such as discharge from vagina. As you mentioned you have suffered from depression and probably you have been treated for this.

Some kind of antidepressants cause dryness of the vagina as another possible cause of your painful intercourse. I suggest you going to your doctor and asking for tests needed for diagnosing STI if you have other signs or changing the treatment used against depression and not taking the medications mentioned by you.
