What Causes Severe Voice Hoarseness While On CPAP For Chronic Laryngitis?

i am experiencing chronic laryngitis. my p.a. wants me to see an ENT specialist. I have been having symptoms of a scratchy hoarse voice that has little volume. This has been going on for over three months. I recently started using a CPap and a month or two before my symptoms started and I wondered if the two could be related?

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

It would be best, as your doctor suggested for you to see an ENT specialist for assessment.

It is possible that there is a link between the c pap and the laryngitis, there could be a possible drying or inflammatory effect on the throat.

Other common causes of chronic laryngitis such as post nasal drip , reflux or smoking.
Lesions in the throat can also cause this problem but this would be assessed by the ENT doctor.

I hope this helps
