What Causes Severe Voice Hoarseness While On CPAP For Chronic Laryngitis?
i am experiencing chronic laryngitis. my p.a. wants me to see an ENT specialist. I have been having symptoms of a scratchy hoarse voice that has little volume. This has been going on for over three months. I recently started using a CPap and a month or two before my symptoms started and I wondered if the two could be related?
It would be best, as your doctor suggested for you to see an ENT specialist for assessment.
It is possible that there is a link between the c pap and the laryngitis, there could be a possible drying or inflammatory effect on the throat.
Other common causes of chronic laryngitis such as post nasal drip , reflux or smoking. Lesions in the throat can also cause this problem but this would be assessed by the ENT doctor.
I hope this helps
