What Causes Sexually Inactiveness While On Thyroid Medication?
Sir, My wife is undergoing treatment for hypothroidism and at present she is under homeo treatment and her tsh has come down to 5.2. she s sexually inactive and least intrested , we have had arguments because of this but always i have compromised and got situation under control, she is active sexually for a few days after her periods are over.At present she has got mood swings crying unnecessarily with out any reason , i try to pacify her and she gets pacified , lot of attention is being shown to her and we have 2 kids aged 6 and 4 . so far our family life has not been affected . i,am a frustrated about how things are going around, i love my wife and i want to see that her occasional depression is off .

I can understand the plight you must be undergoing through.
First of all get all her Hormone assays done and repeat Thyroid profile.
It looks that the Homeopathy medicines either not working or are causing problems your wife is suffering from .
Get Her started on Thyroxine in an appropriate dose.
Try to get to the root cause and consult a Psychologist or Psychiatrist for counseling only. You need not start on anti=psychotic medicines for such an issue at the moment.
Take her out / go for a family vacation without mobile and away from friends and family, I am sure she will be fine and sexually far more active than you can imagine
