What Causes Shadow In Baby's Heart In Scan Report?

Hi I am 34 weeks and on my last ultra sound they found a shadow on my babies heart. This is the second soft marker . The first went away . I am a very healthy women who just turned 40. I have two other children no issues. Should I be concerned about ds. My email is YYYY@YYYY

Thanks for writing in.

Soft markers are occasional findings which only suggest that a more complete scan may be done to pick up any significant abnormalities. If the rest of your scan is fine then you need not worry for the second soft marker. Its already 34 weeks and your expected date of delivery is just over a month later. Keep in touch with your doctor and look forwards to a healthy child.
