Every time I fall asleep I wake up shaking or trembling, primarily in my trunk and arms. The intense shaking usually subsides after a couple of minutes, but I continue to feel a less intense shakiness or trembling throughout the day. At times I feel the daytime shakes are in tune with my heartbeat. My heart rate and blood pressure are normal. I also have smaller muscle spasms all over my body throughout the day. This is recent, within the last 6 mo. 42 y.o. Male. Have been to the doc and we are trying to rule out physical issues. Thoughts?
If the physical issues have been ruled out as you suggest I will advice that anxiety disorders be considered. Along with these symptoms you maybe having frequent worries, feeling of being overwhelmed or being on edge, feeling anxious, having disturbed sleep, not able to relax. I hope this will help in the diagnosis.
