Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Sharp Abdominal Pain And Walking Difficulty?
Me an my son are both experiencing sharp stomach pains for a couple of days now. It has me hunched over and unable to stand up straight. I feel like i have done 100 crunches. It even hurts to walk. I am concerned we may have eaten something contaminated. i traced back what we both ate that were the same and we both ate an apple with caramel dipping sauce and both ate out of the same candy bag we bought from the store.
It looks like you are suffering from food poisoning/food allergy, lactose intolerance or IBS which is causing the two of you stomach discomfort. Take antacids, PPI's like Pantoprazole, once daily for 5-7 days. Take Spasmol(Spasmoproxyvon), one SOS when stomach pain.
The pain should reduce. Take boiled home made light food like porridge. Keep yourself & your son well hydrated. You should take medications under your PCP.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K,
