What Causes Sharp Abdominal Pain, Nausea And Vomiting Post Appendectomy?

I am 54 yrs old I have had my appendix removed many years ago. I am having pain simalar to the pain I had when I had appendicitis. I had pain like this a few days ago and was a little nausus the next day. today I felt fairly decent. now the pain is back

Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
Once the appendex is inflamed and removed, there is no second chance of getting appendicitis.
Hence, what sharp pain in the abdomen you are experiencing with nausea and vomiting could be due to colitis caused by amoebic infection.
Kindly take Tablet.Domperidone 30 minutes before food for nausea and vomiting.
Kindly take Tablet. Secnidazole forte 2 tablets stat after food for overcoming infection.
Drink good quantity of water and fruit juices. Consume food which is bland and easy to digest till your symptoms feel better.
Once the infection subsides, you should start feeling better and be back to normal.
