What Causes Sharp Abdominal Pain While Suffering From Menopause?

Is this a live person? Ok guess not. I m having a really sharp pain about 5 inches below the belly button. I m achey and feel weak. It s been going on for 2 days now. Not sure what s going on. I m 58 and a female and have not had a hyserectomy. I ve been in menopause for several years. I used to get severe cramps but haven t had any in a few years. Im wondering if its something else. As you are post-menopausal the best thing yi do right now is to visit your doctor for a physical examination and an ultrasound examination to ascertain the cause for the pain.

In many menopausal women, atrophy of the ovaries and so on can result in pain around the pelvic region which could be the same case as yours. Visit your doctor for a more concrete diagnosis, and also discuss your urinary function and bowel function.
