Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I squatted heavy weight at first and I heard a popping sound in my lower back rendering me unable to even move for weeks. I checked in with my doctor and he prescribed me pain killers and rest for months and I improved. When all is well, I went back into weight lifting again but starting light. I noticed my back pain is still there after a 1 year recovery and gradually gets worse again. The pain would go away and I can move freely, but when I only squat I receive sharp back pain again.
Hi, It seems that there might be having some injury on vertebral column and might produced some damage in inter-vertebral discs giving rise this problem again while lifting weight while on squad position. Go for x-ray lumbo-sacral region for having any such problem. Meanwhile avoid weight lifting, sitting in squatting position. Ok and take care.
