What Causes Sharp Chest Pain, Dizziness And A Racing Heart Upon Exertion?

Hi, I received an electrical shock 3 days ago. I went to the ER immediately where my ekg was normal and my ck levels were slightly elevated. I returned the next day and both test came back normal but I still have sharp chest pain. It gets worse when I talk and if I do too much my heart races and I get extremely dizzy. The pain is made worse with I do too much but I also get winded easy. I am not sure what to do, if this is just normal side effects or should I go back to the ER?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

The symptoms are typical of what we call palpitations. Consult a cardiologist and plan for an ECG to rule out conditions like cardiac arrhythmia.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
