What Causes Sharp Chest Pain While Coughing?

Hi. What can I take to help suppress my cough? My chest and back feel like needles when I cough. I had a fever yesterday, some shortness of breath, and little mucus.I have been taking theraflu express max for severe cold and cough the past 2 days and took mucinex DM for 2 days prior.

Along with your present medication, Also start Tab. Cefixime.

Avoid cold water and drinks.
