What Causes Sharp Pain Above Left Breast?
Hello dr I am 59yrs old female weigh 48kilos fit and eat very healthy. I have pain above my left breast that becomes very sharp when I lie down, especially if I lie on the left side. I have had these pains since early twenties and have had some minor investigations which showed nothing. These symptoms appear out of the blue maybe once a month sometimes more or less. Should I be worried...

Your pain can be caused either by costochondritis or by spine problems.
It is not dangerous, but if it causes you much discomfort, you can visit your doctor and have a X-Rays of vertebra done.
