Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have a sharp pain and tightness behind my knee when I put weight on my left leg, it isn t every time I step on my foot, when it does happen there is a pop and I feel like I can t step on my foot. And if I step on the ball of my foot-there is no pain or tightness.
Thanks for wrinting us at HealthCare Magic. As your physician I welcome you at my Virtual Clinic. So, I have carefully gone through your case, and you need to consult a physical therapist for the muscle pull up that has happened due to some reason not clear merely on basis of your short history and no physical exam. When you step on your 'foot ball' the calf muscles get stretched and you fell relaxed. I recommend you to do stretch exercises of legs. Once this issue is resolved start jogging and brisk walk 30min a day. It will strengthen your muscles and increase blood supply to muscles to make you healthy. Take plenty of fluids. Use Knee cap easily available over the counter. Heat padding the knee all around will also help alleviate symptoms. If you feel pain use tylenol twice daily.
Please take very good care of you and get well soon. Have a blessed day ahead. Don't forget to give a feed back if I was helpful to you today.
