What Causes Sharp Pain And Tingling Sensation At The Back Of The Head?
I ve had a sharp pain along with tingling in the back of my head/neck area for the past few weeks. It comes and goes but has gotten worse over the last couple days. When I check the side that I feel the pain/numbness on it seems to be a little swollen compared to the other side.

You want to know the cause of your discomfort. Here are a few:-
1. Sharp pain & tingling sensation at the back of the head is commonly due to injuries or damage to the nerves that are responsible for sensation responses to the head(Neurodegenerative condition).
2. Toxicity developing due to drug abuse, tobacco, alcohol, etc.
3. Certain medications like anticonvulsants & Chemotherapy drugs can cause similar side effects.
4. Sinusitis, Migraines, Stress, Autoimmune diseases(MS, RA, Fibromyalgia, etc.)
5. High BP, Poor posture, Electrolyte imbalances & vitamin B12 deficiency.
You are suggested to get physically examined, get all required blood tests & Imaging tests done. Your treatment will depend upon the disease detected & its severity.
