What Causes Sharp Pain And Tingling Sensation In The Arms?

Hi today I had a tingling pin and needle sensation on both arms, around 5 min later I had a burning pain inside my skin like sunburn and both arms went puffy and red from my shoulder to hands, lasted around 10 min then they went back to normal colour and look ok now, what could this have been?

Hi,

Tingling and sharp sensation in the arm could be nerve related pain. Any disease causing neuropathy can cause such pain. Diabetes, vitamin B12 deficiency, kidney disorders in which high amount of toxins build up in the body and damage nerve, hypothyroidism, autoimmune diseases and diseases that cause chronic inflammation can spread to the nerves or damage connective tissue surrounding nerves. Treatment of the cause along with drugs for neuropathy such as pregabalin and amitryptilline is useful in relieving the symptoms.
