What Causes Sharp Pain Around The Navel After A Muscle Pull?
I pulled on a dock plate. Which is about 350 lbs. on wed. Felt a pull in my stomach. Went to Drs on Friday. Told it was a muscle strain. Could return to work today. Was unable to. I still am having sharp pains as well as to the right of my belly button a constant nagging feeling. And nausea feeling. I m eating fine. Trying to rest. Would muscle strain in stomach be this miserable? I do have a high tolerance to pain, also.
Hi Thanks for posting on HCM Pain around navel after a pull or carrying/lifting heavy load may be caused by a muscle strain as you put it or an umbilical hernia.Umbilical hernias like other hernias mostly develop with raised intra-abdominal pressure.I will suggest you see your Doctor to get the navel examined. If pain are too serious, you may take an anti-spasmodic pain drug like spasmo-apotel or spasfon. If no cause found from examination, you will just have to rest well, and avoid stress/raising abdominal pressure for some time and the problem will go. Hope this will help you Best regards
