I have been getting a very sharp pain behind my right ear, comes & goes, it almost feels like pressure & feels like it might burst, doesn t last long! could this possibly be related to stroke? my sister had a stroke & when I asked her if she had any symptoms leading up to the stroke she told me that she had been having pain behind her right ear!!!

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi.
Thanks for your query and history.
It days you have intermittent but sharp pain behind the right ear. Although your sister had similar pain during the attack in your sister has unnecessarily increased your tensions.
Do not worry if you are not hypertensive.

The commonest cause of pain behind the ear is mastoiditis. This is an inflammation of the bone of ear.
I would advise you to consult an ENT Surgeon for examination, investigations and further treatment.
