What Causes Sharp Pain Between The Hips And Rib Cage?
what usually causes very sharp radiating pain on the right side between hip and rib cage? Could it be ovulation pain or digestive issue? I do have IBS-C. Pain was radiating out, front and back, starting point was side....woke me up at night. Has subsided for most part....

The location and quality of pain is more suggestive of ureteric colic caused by presence of ureteric stones. You need to follow up with your primary care provider to get urine analysis and Xray/CT abdomen done to confirm the diagnosis. Meanwhile,drink plenty of water. You can take Buscopan 10 mg thrice daily for pain.Once the diagnosis is confirmed and the type of stone have been assessed, you will need diuretic treatment and dietary adjustment as needed.
