Yes....I am 57 yrs old...I was recently on Ciproplaxin...I took a step today and felt a sharp pain in my left Achilles Tendon. It does not look swollen and the pain subsided. I can walk on it but appears to be sore. In your opinion do you think I tore the tendon or just irritated it?
Hi, Thanks for posting in HCM. I understand your concern. Feeling sharp pain in Achilles tendon could be due to caused due to sprain. All you need is adequate rest with intermittent application of ice packs over the affected area. You can take analgesic containing Diclofenac with Serratiopeptidase for about 3 to 5 days. In case the pain does not subside completely in a week, you may need Physiotherapy assistance in the form of short-wave diathermy. Hope the information provided would be useful. All the best.
