What Causes Sharp Pain In Chest While On Cefdinir?

I was put on an antibiotic called cefdinir 300 mg capsules 2x a day for a sever sinus infection. I have taken 3 capsules and my mouth tingles and every once in a while I get a sharp pain in my chest. I have never taken this medication prior and am allergic to several medication. My question is should I discontinue this medication due to these symptoms or is this a normal thing with this antibiotic?

Hi. Cefdinir is known to cause severe gastritis and you are experiencing that. Since you have started it plz continue and finish the course. Take lansoprazole 30 mg one tab empty stomach in the morning in addition for a week. Don't worry. You will be fine. Take care.
