What Causes Sharp Pain In Hip Area During Intercourse?
Hi, earlier today during intercourse I kept feeling a sharp pain in my left hip area. There's also a bulge (no pain) to the left of my vagina on the outer labia that's been there for a couple of months. Do you have any idea of the causes of these problems?

General & Family Physician, Dr. Nishad BN's Response
Hi Thank you for asking HCM I have gone through your query. The bulge on labia is most likely a bartholincyst. If it is giving you discomfort it should be excised surgically. But pain you got while intercourse should be investigated.A thorough gynecologic examination including bimanual examination should be carried out to rule out any problems like pelvic inflammatory condition or endometriosis. An ultrasound examination might be needed also.Hope this may help you. Let me know if you have any further query. Thanks.
