What Causes Sharp Pain In Lower Abdomen During Body Movement?

Hi,for a few days now every time i get up from a lying down position i get an extremely sharp pain localized just at the right side of my lower abdomen. If i were to stretch or anything of that sort it hurts as well. After i lay back down or sit up or stand the pain dulls down and eventually it stops hurting. What could possibly be wrong?

Hi there.

Thanks for the query.

You could be having certain abdominal condition like appendix problem or it could be abdominal bloating or you could have localised muscle spasm in order to make sure what it is exactly I advise you to consult with your doctor and get physical examination to rule out various causes of this particular problem. Eat healthy, keep well hydrated, exercise regularly, stay stress free. If you do not have any bowel disturbances you can take over the counter medication like Paracetamol for pain relief once or twice a day over a meal to you show your Doctor.

Thanking you.

Regards,

Dr. Aashish Raghu
