What Causes Sharp Pain In Lower Molar Along With Black Spots On Tooth?

Good Morning. I feel sharp pain in the lower last right side tooth of my mouth, It gets worse when drinking warm or cold beverages. I do not see any dark spots on my teeth indicating a cavity unless it it would be on the back of the tooth where I can not see?. It is constant pain now.

Hi...
Can understand your concern..

As per your complain the symptoms which you have explained shows that you have a deep cavity in your tooth which has reached the pulp (pulp is the central inner part of the tooth which has nerves and blood vessels) and once the infection reaches the pulp it causes inflammation in the nerves leading to severe pain.

If you cannot see any black spot over the tooth it means the cavity is present on that surface of the tooth which is in contact with the other tooth so you cant see in there yourself and as you told it is last tooth cavity may be on the surface towards the throat which is also not visible to you..

If deep cavity is the case i would suggest you to go to your dentist and get an IOPAR (x-ray) done to find out the exact condition of tooth and can do ROOT CANAL TREATMENT and medication to cure your pain..

But as it is last tooth and you did not explain that whether it is wisdom tooth or the other molar if it is other molar the above explained answer is ok but if it is wisdom tooth then you should also get evaluated for either the gum flap over the wisdom tooth is inflamed and paining or it is having cavity..An IOPAR will clear the entire picture and you can get treated accordingly..

Hope you got the answer to your query.

Thanks and regards..
