What Causes Sharp Pain In Middle Of Left Shoulder?

I am having pain in the middle of my left shoulder. The pain is only really present when i lift my arm to the side. The pain is sharp, but then stops if I do not do that movement or similar movements. I lift a lot and it hurt in the morning after lifting chest two days ago and has not hurt since. Should I get it checked out? Is it possibly a tear?

Hello
Thanks for your query, based on the facts that you have posted it appears that you have pain in Lt shoulder This could be due to
1) Frozen Shoulder
2) Ligament tear due to trivial injury during exercise.
3) Subacromian Bursitis.

Please consult qualified Orthopaedic surgeon for clinical examination and get MRI of the shoulder done to confirm the diagnosis

In the mean while take non steroidal anti inflammatory medicines like Diclofenac or Brufen twice daily.

A short course of shock wave Diathermy to shoulder joint will help to relieve pain.

Avoid vigorous shoulder exercises .
