Hi

It is possible that you are having Carotid Sinus Hypersensitivity. This is a condition in which there is excessive sensitivity of a portion of the blood vessel in the neck to pressure, which results in a drop in blood pressure. That could probably explain the dizziness you feel when you turn the neck. Although pain is usually unusual in this condition from what cases I have seen earlier,

The condition requires evaluation by an internist or a cardiologist. You have not mentioned your age, because this condition is more common in older individuals as the age advances. Are you on any medication for hypertension? It is likely that some of these medication can also lead to this complaint.

If this is your confirmed diagnosis, the treatment is primarily focussed on life style changes if the symptoms do not occur too often. Only those with very troublesome and recurrent symptoms would be needing invasive therapies.

Wishing you a speedy recovery. Hope this helps.
