What Causes Sharp Pain In Penis Shaft And Small Red Lump?
a week ago i noticed sharp pains on my penis shaft, there was a small red lump with two red lessions there. then it flared up a bit, looking and feeling like blisters. a razor sharp pain. i also had tingly sensations on my left leg. now a week later, it has eased. leaving only two very small scabs. what could it be?? ive recently started a new relationship. snagz.
Sharp pain in the penis shaft with small red lumps commonly occurs due to balanitis caused by poor hygiene or an infection in uncircumcised.
It goes away on its own, take care of your hygiene, you can apply a thin layer of steroid cream or antifungal cream in the area affected.
If it is recurrent, you may need to remove the foreskin (circumcision) by a surgeon. Since you are changing relationships it could be due to STI, similar symptoms are seen in genital herpes or warts.
Get STD tests done (both partner). If reports are positive you will need an oral course of antibiotic or antiviral. get treated at the earliest. Always perform safe sex.
Hope I have answered your queries. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K
