What Causes Sharp Pain In The Arm?

For the past couple of days, I have been getting sudden sharp pains in both my left arm and left breast at the same time. The pain goes away pretty quickly, but it repeats a few times. It feels like nerve pain. Do you know what causes this? Thank you.

Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for your query.
Your symptoms look like the features of nerve compression. You may take pain killers and if need be, tablet gabapentin, for this numbness. It is a stronger pain killer for neuropathies. Your doctor will know the doses.

Also an X-ray cervical spine may help in diagnosis of any pathology there. Thus I would recommend that you see an orthopedic surgeon and get appropriate investigations done including vit B12 levels in blood.

I do hope that you have found something helpful and I will be glad to answer any further query.
Take care
