What Causes Sharp Pain In The Chest In A Female Smoker?

I am a 53 yo female. I am a smoker. half a pack a day. I recently started to get a sharp pain in my right chest about 2 inches above the nipple when I cough and sometimes when I turn a certain way. The pain is in a quarter to half-dollar area. Any ideas?
